I did something rude today

I was lying on the couch asleep when there was a knock on my door. I looked out the peephole to see my uncle, aunt, and cousin standing outside. I really didn't want to let them in because my home was a total mess, I wasn't even dressed, and to be honest, I didn't feel like visitors today. I couldn't pretend I wasn't home because my car was parked right in front of my door. (I live in an apartment) So I just didn't answer the door, even though they knocked for a good five minutes. If they mention anything, I think I will tell them that I was asleep in my bedroom and didn't hear them. Then again, they may have been able to hear that my tv was on, so I'll say I was in the shower. I couldn't be expected to answer the door then, could I?

I love my family a whole lot, but I wished they would have called first, so I could have run around doing a quick cleanup.

You could always say that you were watching TV and fell asleep and that was why you couldn't hear them.

If I had the opporunity, I'd do things like that as well. Having alone time relaxes me.

Hope it turns out okay and hope they're not too offended. :D

Well, my couch is literally about four feet from the front door, so I don't think they would believe that I couldn't hear them. That's why I will probably go for the shower story if it ever comes up.
