Skate Update

Well, I couldn't find any skates or fix my old ones so I had to get rentals last night, yuck. They never used to bother me when I was a kid, but I didn't know what it was like to have my own skates back then. Now I have three and a half blisters on my right foot. The good news is, I ordered some new skates and they should be ready when I get to the rink next Wednesday. I'm getting a pair of these:

My cousin used to have a pair so they come highly recommended.

Cool that you can skate in those. I can only use blades.

I've been roller skating almost since I could walk (years before blades came out). It's a family thing, everyone on my mother's side either skates, used to skate, or is about to learn how to. I have some blades too, although I am not the best at them. One time I tripped over a pot hole and pulled the muscle in my shin. Obviously, need more practice. ;o)
