Need Fashion Advice

What color shoes are acceptable to wear with a periwinkle dress? I know I'm not supposed to wear white shoes between Labor Day and Memorial Day and black shoes just don't look right with it, especially since I will also be wearing a multi-colored (pink, light blue, yellow, lavender) scarf/wraparound. I'm thinking about silver shoes. I'm going to a wedding on Saturday morning so a quick response would be appreciated.

P.S. Open-toed shoes are out. I don't even like looking at my own feet. I wouldn't force anyone else to look at them.

You could pick out a colour from your scarf and match it to your shoes. Or (if you weren't wearing the scarf) you could wear a complementary colour shoe to the colour of your dress (which in this case would be a sort of soft orangey colour).

I never understood that no white after Labour Day thing. :/ If you want to wear white shoes with it, you should.

Since I get that you want things to work together, your safest bet would be to pick out a colour from your scarf and get shoes in that colour.

I'm not the best person to listen to for any other advice, haha.

Well, I decided to go with silver shoes. I'm also going to be wearing a silver watch, silver earrings, I'm going to try to find a silver headband tonight, and my bag is going to be silver. That way I'll still match if I leave my scarf hanging over a chair or something. :o)
