xerox78My boss got fired this afternoon, effective Friday, September 9, 2005, 5:00 pm (or 1700 hours, as I work on a military base). No one is sure why, but we suspect office politics, which is why our last boss was fired this past January. In both cases, the bigwigs came from out of state and came to the office for a couple of weeks. Then on the last day the axe dropped, for reasons mostly unknown. Almost everyone is sad to see him go. He's a good guy.

On my way home, my car (a.k.a. The Quickmobile) cut off while I was sitting at a red light. When I tried to turn it back on, it would start and immediately cut back off. It took five tries, a hood pop, and one more try before it would stay on and I could make the last couple of miles home. I hope The QM was just PMSing.
